Daiwa UVF PE Dura Heavy x8 +Si2 Sinking Braid is an 8+1 high-gravity type braid line offering best-in-class strength, abrasion resistant, sensitivity, and casting distance. This ultra high-quality braid is considered by many anglers to be the strongest sinking braid available.
Daiwa has engineered this braid to consist of 8 "Muscle PE" strands tightly wrapped around one high-specific gravity FEP core wire. By inserting this high-specific gravity FEP core, the specific gravity is set to sink specifications of 1.07 - 1.20 (standard braid has a specific gravity of 0.98 and water of 1.0). It offers superb abrasion resistant, 300% more compared to traditional Daiwa braids, while keeping the advantages of finely braided line performance.
Daiwa added EVO Silicone 2 process to this line to improve abrasion resistant. EVO Silicone adds a more slippery coating on the line surface for longer casting distance and to improve abrasion resistance. Excellent for both spinning and casting reels.
