The Deps Sakamata Shad is a high-quality, versatile soft plastic jerkbait which produces an erratic baitfish action that is irresistible to fish. It's unique body shape and profile makes it easy to impart a side-to-side darting action even with the slightest twitch from your rod.
A deep groove along the belly improves hook penetration and hook slots along the back all for you to tex-pose your hook for weedless presentations. Keeled fins on both sides of the body provides the unique darting action of a fleeing baitfish on and near the surface. The fins also act as stabilizers which, when deadsticking, allow the bait to fall horizontally with an enticing shimmy.
The Sakamata Shad can also be fished weightless texas-rigged, on a split shot rig, a carolina rig, and deadsticking.
